We're pretty sure that the ''micro'' portion of SDG''s I-Beam Alloy Micro post has to do with the angular adjustment - which is finer than the standard model for more precise positioning - but it could just as accurately refer to the fact that the head has a lower profile than the base model that shaves a few grams as well. Either way it''s a great point of entry into the I-Beam standard, which drops weight compared to standard rails while increasing strength at the same time. With a full range of great compatible saddles from SDG and other manufacturers licensing the design, trying out something new seems like a mighty appealing option.
