Are these the LONG version? The long version has a 1120mm rear fender that goes all the way to the chainstays. In the US, I can only find the 920mm version which doesn't protect the front drivetrain area at all.

These are the standard version that stop somewhere between the bridge and chain stay. The PDW Full Metal Fenders will provide more coverage.

Installed these on a Surly Pugsley commuter (Maxxis Hookworm 2.5 tires on Surly Rabbit Hole rims). Took just a little modification to the rear fender. Great full coverage.
