SRAM's GX Eagle group is their latest 12-speed ultra wide gear range group and is designed for more of an everyday rider vs the more race oriented XO1 and XX1 groups.
The SRAM GX Eagle Twist Shifter is designed to work with all SRAM Eagle 12-speed mountain drivetrains and uses SRAM''s original GripShift twist actuation. GX Eagle Twist Shifter might look like the same shifter found on a hybrid bike, but the GX Eagle Shifter is designed for offroad riding and racing. SRAM''s Rolling Thunder bearing system utilizes 3 rows of ball bearings for reduced friction and less play over older twist shift systems that used a bushing.
Included with the Eagle GX Twist Shifter is a set of SRAM Jaws grips. Jaws grips are lock-on grips that integrate with the right shifter body for a smooth transition from shifter to grip.
The SRAM GX Eagle Shifter includes a 2200mm stainless derailleur cable. Cable housing is not included and is required for installation.

asked by: a guest can I use jagwire shift housing with this cable. I have already bought this shifter and my cable measures 1.25 mm. I have jagwire shift housings on other bike, but it has 1.1 mm cables.
A.
anwered by: canteau The Jagwire housing should work fine with the SRAM cables, however, you will get the best performance by pairing the cable and housing to the same brand.

This went on a brand new bike before I even rode it once. That's how much I like gripshift. The GX Eagle version has the same internals as the X01 and XX versions, it just has a plastic shroud rather than metal or carbon fiber. Oh, and it costs 1/3 the price! I have been using the 11 speed version of GX for two years without a mishap and expect the 12 speed version to be just as reliable.
