asked by: a guest Can I remove the 22 and 42 tooth chain rings and just use the 32 tooth ring for a 1x7 setup
A.
anwered by: jackivey You can. However, usually 1x drivetrain systems use a "drop stop" chainring to keep the chain from falling of the front chainring. With the relatively small cassette, this might not be an issue, though.

asked by: a guest Will this fit a early 2000 specialized Hardrock with a 110.5 square taper bottom bracket. All stock parts.
A.
anwered by: canteau You will need to change the bottom bracket to either a 113mm or 118mm square taper depending on the chainline used by the bike, which will most likely require the 113mm.

asked by: a guest Will this be an adequate replacement for a sram truvativ isoflow crankset or will I need to replace the bottom bracket as well?
Thanks
A.
anwered by: canteau It depends on what width bottom bracket your cranks had, if it's 113mm or 118mm you will probably be good to go.

asked by: a guest Will it fit Shimano BB UN-72, 68mm by 113mm (or 115MM I have to double check to be certain which) on '98 Cannondale KillerV 700. Also are the chain rings replaceable? Original crank is 94/58 (Cannondale CODA - probably Sugino) and now finding replacement rings very difficult and limited). Currently 8 speed may convert to 9 speed a little down the road. Thanks.

anwered by: canteau If the stock bottom bracket is 113mm you should be able to bolt this right up unless the frame requires a wider chainline, then you might need to get a 118mm bb. The chainring s are standard 104/64 steel TruVativ Trushift chainrings and will work with 8/9-speed.

asked by: a guest Hello,
My bike has a VP-BC73 cartridge BB (shimano tourney crankset, 7spd cassette). Will this crankset retrofit?
Thanks Team
A.
anwered by: canteau If your current bottom bracket has a 118mm spindle you should be able to replace it without replacing the bottom bracket, if not you will need a 118mm JIS (Shimano type) square tapered bottom bracket.
The spindle size of your current bottom bracket should be printed or stamped on the cartridge body.
