Maybe, there are more variables to consider such as the exact cranks and front derailleur you are using. Typically to preserve chainline true 2x front derailleurs and cranks have the inner chainring pushed out a few mm further than a 3x crank that you would be using with 2 chainrings and a guard ring in place of the big ring. So it will work best with a SRAM 3x front derailleur that has a cage shape optimized for the odd 33 tooth count.
This chainring is also designed to be upshifted (as into a higher gear) so you will need to be sure the limit screws are spot on to prevent over shifting.
