The revolutionary machined design of the Sram XX Cassette uses the same grueling manufacturing techniques that produced the PowerDome road cassette. With X-Dome, eight of the cogs are CNC-machined together out of a single block of billet steel, creating an incredibly lightweight, precise, and strong cassette. The open design aids in mud clearance, giving you cleaner shifting performance and longer component life.
- Cog structure has lots of spaces for mud to flow so it won't pack up
- X-Glide shifting, X-Dome design
- Aluminum large cog can be replaced as needed

Absolutely the lightest 11-32 cassette I could find. I'm using this with a SRAM Apex med. cage derailleur, and Rival shifters on a road bike. I now fear no hills. Shifting is smooth and accurate. Very light!

I converted a 10sp road bike with an Ultegra 12x27 to an 11x36 XX-10 by using a Deore
mountain 9sp derailleur and the result was spectacular. The bike is way more enjoyable to ride as it is faster and has far less front chainring shifting required. Contrary to Sheldon Brown's blog that a longer 4mm x 20mm bolt
is required to replace the B tension screw, it shifts flawlessly without ever having to touch the default tension screw setting. Thus, it is quite simple to convert a 10sp road bike to mountain gearing and the XX-10 is the ultimate cassette for doing it with.
