SRAM's Eagle drivetrain group puts the final nail on the coffin that the mountain front derailleur has been laid to rest in. Building upon the success and engineering of the
SRAM X1 11-speed groups
Eagle takes it to the next level by offering the widest possible gear range in a 1x drivetrain.
SRAM Eagle XX1 Boost cranksets feature hollow
carbon crank arms making the
Eagle XX1 Boost crankset one of the lightest and stiffest cranks on the market.
BB30 versions of the
Eagle XX1 crankset are designed to be used with BB30 or PF30 frames and have a larger 30mm spindle vs the 22/24mm spindle on the GXP version.
The
SRAM Eagle cranks uses the 2nd generation of the
X-Sync chainring with a revised tooth profile for even better chain retention and quieter operation.
X-Sync 2 chainrings are made from CNC-Machined hard anodized aluminum and have a profile to support
SRAM Eagle chain inner and outer links perfectly.
X-Sync 2 chainrings and cranks will work with
SRAM XX1,
X01,
X1 and
GX1 11-speed drivetrains along with the
Eagle 12-speed drivetrains.
This version of the
Eagle XX1 BB30 crankset includes the
3mm offset X-Sync 2 chainring and is intended to be used with 148mm rear spaced frames that require a 52mm chainline.
