osteoI did a full swap from XTR to XX11 and couldn't be happier. I know there are people on both sides of the fence so will try to be unbiased.
I was on a Niner Air9 Carbon RDO set up as 1x10 and with the XTR986 Rear Derailleur with clutch it was the only way I would not have constant dropped chains. But, with the clutch on it increased the resistance of up-shifting.
I also had the e13 42T extended cog which created it's own shifting issues.
Changing to the XX1 system is pure bliss in comparison! it shifts cleanly and smoothly with minimal effort. I find I may even be shifting more because it is so effortless.
Just as importantly, no dropped chains. The narrow wide really grabs the chain. I was thinking I would have to go with the SRAM crank but thankfully my Rotor crank can stay.
As with the other XX1 items, I'd do it all again if I had to.
