asked by: a guest I have a steel frame and the seat tube is 27.2mm. Will the 28mm collar work?
A.
anwered by: canteau The Salsa seat post collars are sold by the od of the seat tube which can vary frame to frame depending on how thick the tubing is. Commonly steel frames are 28.6 or 30.0mm

asked by: a guest My seat tube OD is 31.8mm. Will the 32mm collar work? I presume Salsa is just rounding?
A.
anwered by: canteau Correct Salsa uses even numbers. This helps provide a better fit on frames that might have paint that was applied a little too thick or other variances that can occur during production.

asked by: a guest Hi, How does this color match the Chris King pink?
A.
anwered by: canteau With anodizing it can vary batch to batch from both Chris King and Salsa. If you put both items next to each other you will most likely see a difference. However once they are installed on the bike it should be pretty close.

The seatpost collar is a small but crucial piece. The Salsa Liplock has a large steel bolt and pivot, and oversized aluminum collar. It makes me feel absolutely confident that this piece will not fail. I ride a hardtail MTB over rough terrain and this collar has not let me down. All this for only 12 grams over the weight of a minimalist design.

A good quality, dependable seatpost collar at a reasonable price. I haven`t had a seatpost slip using Salsa collars, unlike some other some big name brands. I have Salsa seatpost collars on both my bikes.
