The tire has a GreenGuard compound under the tread which is going to provide the puncture resistance most long haul riders are looking for. This compound is made of India rubber and recycled latex. It also has a Kelvar belt to help increase durability as well.

Just installed a set of 700x32s on a Jamis Coda. Tires went on fairly easily, took a bit of effort to push the last 3-4 inches over the rim, but not too bad. I like the ride, the strip of rubber in the center seems to smooth out the ride, a noticeable difference from the old set of panaracers I had on this bike. Can't comment on the durability yet, as I've only put on about 50 miles on these tires.
