A GuestOriginally tried the regular (non-Max) Gel Flow saddle and it was way to narrow. Finally found this one to try out and I am very impressed. This saddle not only looks great, it feels great too. Been riding it for a couple of weeks now so I'm still in the break-in period, but so far I am really enjoying the saddle.

con...@ve...n.netFinding the right seat is not easy!! I ride both road and Mtn. This seat is nice with the padding and the spring action of seat and rails. I haven't used it for one of my all days rides but very comfortable.

aeoportai'm 6 4 so I needed a seat sturdy and comfortable enough for commuting to work and recreational rides. This fits the bill now saddles are always subject so take this review with a grain of salt. I have both the black and white of this saddle definitely works great for short and long rides, so far no saddle sores or other issues.

A GuestI bought this saddle as a replacement for the stock Bontrager Saddle on my 2010 Trek 2.1 and what a difference!
I've done two centuries and a number of other rides on the Bontrager saddle and while it didn't leave me incapacitated, it certianly was responsible for some lingering soreness.
With this seat, it is a much more comfortable and enjoyable ride. It is a little bit wider than the previous saddle, but it is a just a matter of getting used to something new.
I was going to buy the 2009 or 2010 version, but you cannot miss with the 2008 saddle. Great buy and highly recommended if you can get it below $120.

timafc5lmSeats are always such a personal thing. Reviews are not a lot of help. However, Selle Italia equals quality.
I prefer a flat seat. I used the Fizik Arione for years. Switched to Selle Italia and I'm not looking back. The Fizik is a good seat, but the quality and comfort of both the Max Flite Gel Flow 2008 and the Gel Flow SLR have the Fizik beat.
I ride with my seat level and tend to ride the nose of my seat. The Max Flite Gel Flow 2008 has just the right width and padding to keep this comfortable mile after mile.

rwb...@gm...l.comAwesome seat - comfortable for long rides yet still light for your sprints - but like shoes, only get one that fits your own rear. And buy from Tree Fort.

dav...@di...s.comI discovered this saddle a few years ago and have ridden it exclusively since then. I recently purchaed and new bike and after a week bought another of these saddles for it. Makes riding a whole lot more enjoyable.

mrfetiI just bought the Max Flite a few weeks ago after finding out the saddle I've been riding on was too narrow. I decided to go with the Max Flite because I like the overall quality and design of Selle Italia's saddles. It was also a pleasant surprise to find out how much the wider seat relieved the pain I was having in my gentlemen's region after only a couple hours in the saddle compared to the narrower saddle I'd been using.
I have this saddle mounted on my road bike, but I don't see why you couldn't mount it on a mountain bike or any other bike you may be riding.
If I had to list one complaint it may be the way this saddle looks on my bike... it just looks overly big, but then again, I'm used to the sleaker/smaller designed seats that I'd been using in the past.
