Acera M3000-SGS 9-Speed Long Cage Shadow Rear Derailleur

Shimano Acera RD-M3000 Rear Derailleur borrows it's low profile design from the higher-end Shadow derailleurs to reduce the overall profile of the derailleur to minimize damage from on trail obstacles. The Shimano Acera SGS long cage derailleur will work with 3x9-speed drivetrains and can work with cassettes up to 36t with a maximum difference of 45t. 

The Shimano Acera M3000 can be mounted to standard derailleur hangers and frames that use Shimano''s direct mount system.

Upgrading from 8-speed to 9-speed might only seem like the addition of 1 gear, but that extra gear evens out the steps between gears providing smoother shifts especially under load. If you are still running 8-speed drivetrain it might be time to look at the Acera M3000 series components.
