urbanrobLooking for an exact replacement to chainring on m580 lx crank, Shimano showed this as the next best thing. It's steel so it's heavier. It also doesn't shift as crisp anymore. I replaced this middle ring and the big outer ring, new chain, new cassette. All my tuning got wacky but at the end of it, I lost some crispness on the shifts and the immediacy of the shift under load, like going uphill. Not the worst but I should have done more homework and picked up a better one than go with just Shimano tech manual suggestion.
