Using the latest carbon molding technology the Shimano Dura Ace 7900 pedal gives you wide platform comfort without giving up clearance during cornering.
For increased durability the Dura Ace pedals use the same stainless steel strike plates that shimano introduced on the previous Dura Ace PD-7810 pedals.
Stainless steel is also carried over into the axel which is stiffer and more durable that titanium, so what penalty is paid in weight is made up in pedaling efficiency and long term reliability. Chances are 30-40 grams won't cost you a race but a snapped axle can. The stainless axels roll on Shimano''s tried and true 3 bearing system consisting of 2 cartridge bearings and 1 roller bearing.

Some Shimano products may vary in color or graphics depending on the country they are sold in. The are also several different generations of Dura Ace pedals. The PD-7900s are Shimano's newest Dura Ace Pedal.

I started with clipless pedals in 1986 with the white Look pedals (Bernard Hinault-esque). By far, these were the best pedals I had ever used, ... until I finally stepped into the Dura-Ace 7850. THEN these carbon 7900 pedals came out, I just had to have them. I've been building up a second bike, so my 7850 pair went to yesterday's titanium, and my 7900 pair were welcomed onto my new titanium custom frame.
I love them
These are ridiculously light, all the while maintaining the benefits of what I love about the 7850 pedals (the aluminum pair).
PS - I'm 190 pounds (87 kgs), at my lightest, and these are great for me. NO issues at all. They are stiff, light, they work, very well !!
