A GuestVery comfortable. Used with Ergon grips. They are wider then I am used to but once I get riding a few miles I forget about that. The bars have good room for brakes, grips and my Rohloff shifter

creative08I put these on my rigid ss Stumpjumper and they're awesome, it feels like a new bike! I was having major wrist pain with my straight bar and it's totally gone now. Also, the steering feels very controlled and responsive while providing incredible leverage for out of the saddle climbs. I did add a slightly longer stem to compensate for the sweep but other than that they were plug and play.

kitjohnstonIf you like the On-One Mary bar, but have difficulty finding it, then this is the bar for you. I will stick with the Clarence bars anyway since it is domestic.

ulynealodVery comfortable bar. I replaced my low-rise mtb bar with Clarence. Feels weird referring to a handlebar in human terms, but it has more personality than the last one; steering feels much more 'connected' and responsive now. The hand/arm position feels more natural, as Soma predicts. Cable housings came up a little short since this bar is wider than my old Bontrager, so I had to replace those to maintain correct cable routing. I have only ridden bikepaths so far, so we'll see if it's the bees knees on trails. I like it.

A GuestThese are great bars.
I have another bike with a pair of Mary One
Bars . These cost less and are the same exact shape. I have them on a road commuter and a trail bike!

A GuestI installed these SOMA Clarence bars on my 2011 Jamis Coda sport commuter. These are much more comfortable than the stock flatbars though a little on the wide side. One thing to keep in mind is that these bars are only available in one clamp size and shims may be needed. Build and finish quality are excellent, and they look cool too!

sjtoddInstalled these in 31.8 model on my Trek Excaliber. I ride mostly on smooth trails and paths and plan on some dirt road style touring as well. I, like many other reviewers, found standard straight style MTB bars to have an uncomfortable hand position. I found when mounting on the same stem, replacing the almost flat bars which came on the bike, the reach was very similar but the hand position hand position was much more comfortable with the 40 degree sweep angle. I wish they were a bit longer, but will likely get used to the length.

CharlesdyeHaven't had the chance to test them on my most technical ride yet, but on my winter commute, and now on some epic double-track rides, these bars were fabulous. Far more comfortable than NorthRoad/Albatross or straight-ish carbon riser bars, I think this bend/rise is the sweet spot for all-around "mountain" biking. I found them a bit wide for sneaking through traffic in town, but the width feels perfect off-pavement. Also, I disagree that the bend allows you to use your current stem, I found using a stem 2cm shorter (than what I used with straighter riser bars) gave me the same zippy feel that I like in a stem/bar combo.
Bikes I've used this bar on: '92 Miyata RidgeRunner "Kid-Hauler", '08 Niner MCR & '11 Vassago Bandersnatch.

mattjoeExtremely comfortable bars. I tend to buy the ergonomic angled bars and these are up there with my favorites. I bought a white pair and the paint came off very easily, which made it look cheaper than it actually is. The angle git my Ultegra brifters perfectly.

A GuestIf you once rode with the On One Mary Bar and really liked its hand positioning then you will like this bar too as it is essentially the same shape, rise, sweep, etc.

A GuestI am really happy that I bought these handlebars. I put them on my rigid SS and I feel like the hand position is much more comfortable. I did lose a little bit of the rise but having my hands at a slight angle is much more ergonomic. I mainly use these for light single track but I feel like you can use these for pretty much anything but down hill.
