The Soma Cross Fork might physically fit on the M2 frame, but you may run into issues with the axle to crown length of the fork compared to what came stock on the M2. This could affect the way the bike handles and not in a good way.
We would recommend using a rigid mountain bike fork vs one designed for a road frame.
