I have one and I don't think it is glass, but it is certainly as close to glass as I'd want to get since it does not break easily. Over time they do scuff, but it takes a few seasons of 5000 miles to get annoying.

These mirrors work great for my drop-handlebar road bike, making it much easier to check for traffic before passing a jogger or another cyclist. They don't protrude from the bike, and so there seems to be little risk of breaking them if I lay the bike on its side, turn it upside down to clean the chain, or lean it against a wall.
