The water in the Squirt Lube is used as a carrier for the wax, once the lube dries no water will remain. You might not want to store the bottle of lube in your car as it may freeze.
Wax lubes generally perform better in warmer temperatures because it remains more plyable. Squirt's low temp lube is formulated to allow it to perform in colder temps like the original does during the warmer months.
