2012 Pugsley Necromancer Complete Fat Bike
White is the new black...blah, blah, blah... Guess what? It's not. No color will ever be the new black. The Fonz didn''t wear a white leather jacket, Johnny Cash wasn''t the "Man in White" and now you can have your Pugsley in classic Surly black too.
The Black Ops Pugsley is the stealth bomber in Surly''s line. The frame and fork aren''t just black, they added subtle black and gray decals. The rims are black. The spokes are black. Everything is black except the chain.
The Black Ops Pugsely isn''t just another paint job, the standard Pugsley rolls 65mm-wide Surly Large Marge double-wall rims, the Black Ops Pug utilizes the wider 82mm-wide Surly single-wall Rolling Darryl rims to expand its tire footprint, increasing its traction and all-terrain floatation.
The increase in rim width puts the tire closer to the chain. So to avoid chain rub, Surly spec''d this bike with Surly MWOD rings on a Mr. Whirly crankset. This provides the best chain/tire clearance available while retaining low- and mid-range gearing for crawling through the sticky and flying under the radar.

CAN I USE A SURLY BUD & LOU TIRES ON A NECROMANCER?
A.
anwered by: a guest
The Bud will work no problem on the front as the Necro uses the same fork as the Moonlander - just a non-offset version.
You can fit a 4.8" Big Fat Larry on the back for sure. There isn't room for a Lou in the rear.

A GuestI saw this bike in the store and dreamed about it for a week, then test rode it and fell in love. this is one awesome bike! took it to the beach and what fun i had, took it to potowatami trails...what fun i had! even riding on the street it is so comfortable...runs over cracks, sticks, curbs, varmits and strollers. i have a smile on my face every time i ride this bike. the only down side to it is i have to explain to everyone that asks "why are the tires so fat?" and "what do you do with a bike like that?" Clearly if they have to ask, they are out of the loop! GET THIS BIKE and ENJOY!
