Summed up: Why not. It saves a lot of weight. 2 tires plus a spare inner tube. It saves the better part of a pound of weight.

Traded in the old 1mm surly tubes for these after both failed at the stem. These are about 20% lighter with no downside that I can see. Mine weighed in at just about the claimed weight.

Tubes are great. 310 Grams weight. Saved 240 Grams per wheel over old tubes. Makes a noticeable difference riding.
