Ultra New Fat Bike Front Hub Disc 135mm

The Ultra New hub is Surly's refinement of the New hub. While the shell remains unchanged -- 6061-T6 forged and machined aluminum alloy with medium-height flanges -- the ultra newness of the Ultra New is found in the internals. 

Surly''s previous design used nutted axles, throwing your lot in with a bolt-on set-up. The Ultra New has an axle design that allows you the best of both worlds, using a Surly-designed hollow axle mated to thread-in fixing bolts. To run quick-release, just pull out the wheel fixing bolts, throw in your quick release skewer, and you''re good to go. 

Thoughtfully designed hardware makes the Ultra New corrosion resistant and high strength: wheel fixing bolts, bolt caps, and ''cone'' nuts are all stainless steel, and they''re also heavily knurled so that your wheel bites hard on the frame under high load.  

These hubs are Fat Bike specific front hubs, with 135mm spacing and rear disc offset. They are compatible with 135mm Surly Pugsley, Surly Moonlander, and Salsa Enabler forks. NOT compatible with White Brothers Snowpack fork.
