KrinjahWorks great. I like other reviewers had to drill out the hole in my fork. If you only have access to English unit bits 5/16 worked well for me.

petercdI had heard that you can eliminate front brake squeal from cantis by putting the cable hanger on the fork instead of on the steerer tube. And well, my front brakes don't squeel. But it was a new build, so I can't compare.
This thing worked good. I had to drill out a larger hole in the fork to accommodate the nut, and also put both locknuts on the front so that the hanger would clear the headtube, but it seems to work nonetheless.

spotmaticfI have been upgrading brakes and brake pads on older canti-equipped bikes. The new pads are so much grippier than the stock stuff that the front end starts to chatter under hard braking. I read somewhere that this may be eliminated by mounting the cable stop directly to the fork. The original hangers are on the stem or headset. The theory is that the flex of the fork, frame and stem all pile up and cause some sort of vibration - something sinister and unsettling. Well, this is a real thing because it has happened to me on 3 older bikes. I installed the Tektro fork-mounted cable hanger and everything is great. Like another reviewer, I needed to drill out the mounting hole, but that is no big deal considering the gains in braking power.
