asked by: a guest What size seat clamp for the 30.9 post?
A.
anwered by: bkearns It will totally depend on your frame since various frame materials vary in their thickness a whole lot. Your best bet is to swing by your local bike shop and have them measure it for you, then you'll be sure you buy the right thing!

I have been using Thomson products for years and I'm still amazed at their quality and strength. Thier new Seat Collar is no exception, it holds my Thomson Masterpiece Seatpost without any slipping while looking like a piece of art!
Summed up: Looks great, DOES NOT let my seatpost move, Best looking clamp out there.
Yes, I would recomend this to a friend.

When I upgraded to a Thomson dropper post I didn't want a QR clamp to secure the post. This little nugget fit the bill perfectly and matches all my other Thomson goodies.

Yes I bought it to match every other Thomson thing on my bike, but I didn't expect to find out that my stock clamp wasn't the same diameter all the way around. This could cause your post to slip, and then you tighten your clamp more, then damage the frame. While the Thomson is precise and this means even pressure on your seattube, and your post won't slip. They also look amazing with a Thomson post.
I threw this on a scale just for the heck of it, and I saved 16 grams over the quick release style.
Honestly, the only reason I got it is because it looks cool and matched my seatpost. It works fine, but so did my old one.
