pat...@gm...l.comSo, my thoughts- they're a huge step up from riding with a messenger bag- finally, being able to show up to the party w/o a massive sweat spot on your back- such a plus. The construction is typical Timbuk2- super bomber. I mainly chose these over the many other varieties of panniers because of their ability to quickly be taken off the bicycle and converted into a blocky looking messenger bag- in that they did not disappoint. The interior of each pannier features one voluminous compartment along with a smaller, narrow compartment to store small things- on feature missing is a key chain/strap. The volume of the large compartments is equivalent to one 12 pack of cans(if you're looking at Timbuk2, I may as well say PBR) on each side- hopefully enough carbs to get you through your ride. The only weakness I've found is the attachment system- be sure to shorten/bend the metal mounts to be taught and fit well on your rack, otherwise be prepared to eat pavement.
