asked by: a guest I need a 73 x 118 bottom bracket. The only option I see is the 68E/73 x 118. What does the slash mean? Will it fit both 68 and 73mm shells?
A.
anwered by: canteau The 68E/73mm bottom brackets will fit 68mm frames with an e-type front derailleur that mounts to the bottom bracket or 73mm frames without an e-type front derailleur.

asked by: a guest Will this fit a BB30 bottom bracket shell?
A.
anwered by: canteau You would need to use a PF30 or BB30 to English thread adaptor to use the TruVativ PowerSpline bottom bracket in a PF30 or BB30 frame.

asked by: a guest Is there anyway to know if I have the 108, 113 or 118mm without taking it off?
A.
anwered by: bhardy Yes there is. Look up the manufacturer's specs of the crank you have. They will list the spindle length. You can also take calipers and measure from end to end on the Bottom Bracket Axle. Without the crank arms or bolts on the bike.

asked by: a guest Is there anyway to know if I need the 68mm or the 68mmE/73mm without taking off?
A.
anwered by: smulder You can take a ruler or caliper and measure across your bottom bracket shel on the bike that will either be 68mm or 73mm. You don't need the 'E' Version unless you have an E-Type front derailleur that mounts to the Bottom bracket.

Great affordable replacement. Very easy installation. Fast becoming a big fan of SRAM group. This is another item that was missing from UPS' botched delivery. Theo of Tree Fort Bikes to the rescue! Replacement received along with replacement Oury grips and Shimano chain.
