We haven't seen more or less denting with the Blunt 35 than other comparable rims.
One thing to watch out for, and this goes for all rims not just the Blunt 35 is there is a fine line when running low air pressures between traction and bottoming out the rim causing a rim strike.

I'm so happy I chose these over a slightly wider/heavier rim for my 29 wheelset. Running a tubeless 3.0 tire(easily) on these rims over my tubed stock Holy Rolling Darryls has dropped around 5lbs off my Mukluk and made it the ultimate year round MTB! I mounted a 2.4 Ardent on this rim as well and it worked great too but I plan to mainly run 3.0 for the increased traction and plush ride.
