I picked these up to replace the grips that came on my Gary Fisher Trek Marlin 29er. They really improved the grip, feel, and shock absorption. The shape and the fact that they lock in place really helps to keep your hands stable when riding over rougher terrain. I wish that the locking bolts were the same size, having to use two different size wrenches for the outer and inner bolts is a pain. Also the inner bolts posited when installed was right behind the gear shift which made getting them in the perfect position kind of hard.

I replaced some really basic and unforgiving grips that came with my singlespeed 29er. These are comfortable, they install securely, and the value for the price is excellent. My hands are happy.
