Bob HansonSteel washers to protect your cranks? The packaging says "For Carbon Cranks" but if you have ANY cherished alloy cranks, just ignore that. These are especially useful if you are using old pedals which are not completely round at the base. For example, many of my vintage French pedals have wrench flats cut all the way to where they would seat against the crank and this means that sharp flat edge can dig into the soft alloy around a pedal hole as you tighten the pedal.
Elsewhere, you can easily pay $2 or more for a single pair. At this great low price, better safe than sorry.
These are in fact Stainless Steel and will not rust. That fact is not mentioned anywhere on the packaging, but it is stated on the Wheels mfg. website... and just now making a quick check, their low magnetic properties verifies this.
Inner diameter: 14.3mm
Outer diameter: 19.9mm

johnpimentelThese are just the right size to keep pedal bolts from scratching/digging into your cranks.
I used these with 35 year old Olfmega pedals and a new Origin 8 crank. Worked perfectly. They may rust in the future, but they are so inexpensive you can always change them out.
