Grade 10 chromium steel balls, within 10/1,000,000" round, are used in chromium alloy steel races to give you noiseless, smooth, long bearing life.

Yes, the Surly Ogre uses a threaded 73mm bottom bracket, just make sure to get the GXP version of the SRAM GX crank set.
