Bar-End Bell

During my commute, much of which is on multi-use paths, I encounter numerous pedestrians, many of which are quite oblivious to anything going on outside of their ear canal. I use my CX bike to cycle to work and with the drop bars, I have little other options beside the unpleasant "on your left" squawk, loathed by the foot travelers, to let them know that I will be overtaking them. In this the bell triumphs as horrified faces are replaced by soft smiles as they are delighted by the Ting Ting(s). The downside to this great advancement is the solemn fact that if you're riding on rough roads or hit a large bump, you will have a slight tinging, which over a long enough time-frame, may give your sanity a run for its money. At the end of the day though, a worthwhile purchase.
