The Maxxis DHF is an ultimate high traction tire. The center knobs keep the tire moving fast, as they are ramped and have a lower profile compared to the side knobs. Every second row has for-to-aft cuts in the knobs to keep the tire rolling straight and dependable. The side knobs are large to aid in fast cornering.
Depending on the course, use the DHF for front and rear,or run the DHF in the front and DHR in the rear for a little bit of a faster option.
UST tubeless design features silkworm protection for puncture resistance. This tire also has 42a Super Tacky compound for ultimate adhesion for downhill riding. This tire is only recommended for downhill.
Use of sealant will void tire warranty.

Bought this tire for a trip up to Snowshoe, WV for some DH/FR lift access riding. It rained the first day and conditions were extremely slick, I was amazed over and over again how much grip these tires held in these conditions. The only gripped even better as the trails slowly dried up! The 2.5 worked perfectly in a no tube setup with my Stans Flow wheels, I actually did not have to adjust pressures for a few weeks, they held air great even after all the beating from the DH runs! I am ready for my next DH experience and you can bet I will be running the Minions!
