This is my second Rohloff Speedhub 500/14 except this is a bolt on. I had to order the Rohloff Axle Plate for Bolt-on Hub, TS OEM2 for my application.
The installation requires mechanical applitude, but the instructions are very good. You need to verify the minimun chain ring size which in my case is 38T (with 16T cog). Once its installed it is beautifull to use. In my case I need the extra low gears for the short but steep hills in my area. The Nexus and DeVinci can't touch the gearing range of the Rohloff 500/14 otherwise I would have opted for one of them.
All 14 gears are unique with no overlap like a derailer system, and the gear steps feel just right once you find a chainring to your liking.
