asked by: Ska-T Will this derailleur fit below the braze-on of a vintage road bike? converted to 44-32-22T
A.
anwered by: canteau Depending on the crankset and the angle of the seattube the Deore M590 top swing derailleur clamp height at the top of the clamp will be roughly 57-65mm from the top of the bottom bracket shell.

asked by: a guest Will this crash into the middle chainring on a 26-36-46 chainring? The m591 does!
A.
anwered by: canteau It should, but so should the M591 if the cage is set at the proper height. If you changed crankset gearing but didn't adjust the derailleur height that could be your issue.

I can't BELIEVE I rode an X7 Front Derailleur equipped bike (Niner M.C.R.) for so long. Finally figured out this Shimano Deore Front Derailleur would work just fine w/my X9 front shifter--and Whoa! It's better than fine. Best front derailleur I've ever used. Perfect shifting. Easy to set up. Pretty much the same weight as the X7. 'Love it.
