The chainline refers to the relationship of the chainrings to the rear cogs. Standard mountain bikes typically use a 49.5mm chainline, this bottom bracket puts the chainline at 51mm so that it will work better with 150mm thru-axle hubs.

I got a great deal on King Earl Crankset which has a deep offset crank bolt mount, thats why the spindle is so long. But this is the BB that was made just for that crankset and a few other specific TruVativ cranks. Its like a hybrid, with the ISIS 12m cromoly spindle and external cups(Park
BBT-9 Bottom Bracket Tool). The BB looks and feels very solid and is working great for now. I will definitely review again if anything goes wrong
